Have a nice day/Night my dear Loo🤗
Hiya Marune! I'm having a good day when I'm answering this so thanks for the well wish!
Now onto your question~!
🧨 - What’s the quickest way to set them off, even if they hide it well?
Josele Canty
The devaluing of life.
Josele has lost a lot in her life. Her parents. Her first love, her own magic for a time. And while her Emotion Magic was out of commission, she ended up relying on a magic that stole life from the world around her.
So Josele finds it hard to contain herself when she catches someone dismissing others and the lives they lead. Whether it be by taking lives, treating someone as lesser, or simply not enjoying the little things, Josele struggles to bite her tongue and not tell off a person for being so callous with something as precious as a life.
Sirius Faust
Straight up? The very thought of the primary school he originally attended.
He was shunned and bullied by his classmates there. Teachers refused to address the bullying claims, either thinking he was exaggerating or fearing retaliation from parents (without fearing what Sirius's own parents were capable of...). Sirius endured the treatment for a year before breaking down to Josele and Nacht about it. He (along with Merel and Vivian) was pulled from that school and tutored privately by Zora (as I imagine him becoming some kind of traveling/intermittent teacher in the future). That only lasted a few months before Nacht and Josele found another school for him (and his sisters).
Sirius hates his old school with a burning passion. He refuses to call the establishment by name and makes an effort to dig up all bad incidents about the school and make sure they becomes widely known.
Sterling Faust
Status Obsession.
Born a peasant and adopted into a disgraced noble family, Sterling grew up always being looked down upon. Thus, Sterling has grown to resent those who put a lot of stake in titles and societal positions. She's quick to grow cold to anyone who shows that they value status and is easily irritated by anyone who devalues her or her loved ones simply for not being "elite." It goes the other way too. She hates when people look down on themselves and give up just because they rank low in society. Sterling won't hang with people who practically worship the royal families just because they're royalty because it disrespects the hard work that people like Noelle and Mereoleona do regardless of titles.
Rank, status, titles; all of that doesn't mean much to Sterling in comparison to individual action. She wants to be around people who strive to live rather than people who go through the motions because they were born in a certain social ring.
Josele: (holds up Giana) Look Nacht! She has Shadow Magic, is a workout buff, and a redhead. She's the perfect addition to our family!
Nacht: Darling, I hope you're not serious right now. I think one child is more than enough for us right now.
Giana: Hey, I'm hardly a child! ... Also Josele, can you put me down?
Josele: Oh right! (sets her down)
Giana: Anyways, you can't legally adopt me but it wouldn't be the worst thing if I hung out with your daughter, right?
Nacht: Ida's a bad influence already. Sterling doesn't need another.
Giana: What? I'm you're student and you don't want me to be Big Sis Gigi to your daughter?
Sterling: For what it's worth, I don't think you want to be my big sis. Things don't turn out well for my older siblings.
Giana: Wha'dya mean by that?
Sterling: Well...
Giana: D-did something happen to them? (looks to Josele and Nacht)
Josele: (looks away)
Nacht: No comment.
Giana: Guys?!
……….
Josele is my oc and Giana belongs to @artistic-endchamber.
Ohhhh. Marune, you're asking a mean question! Thiuasrhtasht!
..........
✂️ - What is one of your OC’s worst memories?
Sirius: One particularly bad memory of Sirius's is the day at school when his teacher noticed and called attention to the white hairs growing from Sirius's head despite his best efforts to hide it (he didn't have the courage to try sneakily dying his hair). The teacher literally yanked on his hair to bring him to the front of class and scold him for delinquency, even as he tried to explain the hair was natural. After that, his classmates never looked at him the same. They either called him an old man or a ruffian. It really shook him.
Josele: By far, Josele's worst memory is the day Morgen died. It started out as a very normal day. Then, while Josele was at the Grey Deer base, Nacht came running out of the shadows with Morgen limp in his arms. Josele literally used up all her magic trying to heal Morgen but it didn't work (Morgen was already dead by the time he was in her arms so nothing could've been done). As she cried and held Morgen's corpse, Nacht blamed Morgen's death on her. Saying she failed to heal/help him. Those two things happening in rapid succession was too much for Josele. She genuinely believed the accusation for years. There really is nothing else that can be Josele's worst memory.
Sterling: Losing her biological family. Sterling was wide awake when her family was attacked and she experienced them frantically getting her to safety before blacking out. There was fire and screaming and the look of demented hunger in the eyes of the killer. Sterling didn't see any deaths outright but she was there for the chaos that happened right before she saw her family for the last time.
