Steve bell x reader - little girl
Hey I got a request for mr bell from Ackley bridge So basically you are a teacher you teach pe and you and mr bell are dating and you are pregnant and you are teaching a pe lesson with mr bell and you got hit in the stomach with a ball and started to worry for you but it was all fine then now you give birth to you baby girl now you are off one day you baby girl was just crying so you took her to see mr bell and he took he to his lesson and everyone loved her - Anon💜
Walking up the field, you smiled as you watched the students playing football against one another.
“You’re late.”
You glanced to the side and pretended to ignore the man as he walked over and stood next to you.
Steve glanced down at you and rose a brow.
“Are you really pretending you don’t see me?”
You carried on pretending and he sighed, rolling his eyes and he reached out, placing his arm on your shoulder, poking your cheek with his finger.
“Don’t ignore me Ms (L/N).”
“Don’t tell me you’re going to have lunch with me then not turn up then Mr Bell.”
“I did turn up!”
You laughed, turning around to look at him.
“You turned up late, and you stole my lunch.”
“Oh you’re so petty, you steal my dinner every time we go out to eat.”
You grinned a little and he grinned back, and you both turned back around and you wrapped your arms around your stomach.
“Well it’s not my fault your child wants whatever you’re eating.”
“If I remember right that’s your child too don’t try blame a baby the size of a grain of rice for you wanting my food because you won’t order the same thing.”
“You’re mean.”
“You love me.”
“I’m pretending I don’t know you.”
Steve rolled his eyes again and pressed a kiss to the side of your head.
“Okay love, you do that. I’m going to teach the lesson you’re also supposed to be teaching.”
He smiled and began to make his way over.
“Wait Steve!”
He turned back around.
“I want your hoodie.”
Steve laughed softly and walked over, wrapping his hoodie from around his shoulders he held it out to you and you beamed as you took it.
You put it on and put your hands in your pocket along the front, palms resting against your stomach.
You smiled as you looked at Steve running around showing some students what to do and he stepped aside to let them try.
Except one hit the ball the wrong way and it came barrelling straight for you and you wrapped your arms around your stomach and it bounced of your arms.
“Bloody hell..” you whispered.
“(Y/N)!”
Steve ran over and he looked at you.
“Are you alright? Where did it hit?”
“My stomach, I think I’m okay I had my arms there.”
“Right, car now.”
He gave you his keys to his office to grab his car keys and you did and by the time you were out front he was already there.
Steve took the keys off you and rushed you to the hospital and after some explaining, some waiting, some tests, some more waiting, you were finally told everything was perfectly fine.
You sighed.
“Thank god…”
“That’s it, no more pe.”
“Steve that’s what I teach!”
“It’s too dangerous I can’t let you keep doing it. You.. you can wait in my office? Maybe talk to Mandy.. I.. I don’t know but I can’t risk this happening again.”
You looked as you boyfriend paced up and down worried, and you held your hands out.
Steve stopped, and he walked over, taking your hands in his.
“Okay. Alright. I’ll talk to Mandy, okay?”
Steve nodded his head, and he leant down, kissing your forehead.
You smiled a little and he took you both back to the school and you both walked to Mandy about what to do.
And she decided to move you to covering lessons until you came back after your maternity leave.
As the months passed more and more people learned about your pregnancy, and Steve was proudly proclaiming that he was responsible for it.
You had to tell him multiple times to stop but seeing the little grin on his face made your heart melt, and you couldn’t stay mad at him for you.
When you gave birth he was right there, and he took time off work to help you for the first few weeks, letting you rest and relax and recover.
And when he went back to teaching, you realised how much you missed being away from him.
You were so used to him being there, to being with him all of the time.
But you had to focus on Kira, your little girl, and you did. Over the next few months you built up a routine, learned her different cries and learned so much.
But when the little girl wouldn’t stop crying one day, you didn’t know what else to do, so you packed her go bag, put her in her car seat and drove to the school.
Thankfully the drive seemed to lull her to sleep, so when you pulled up outside the school, you grabbed her back, swinging it over your shoulder and covered her up a little more with the pink blanket and picked up the car seat, making your way inside.
“Oh love you shouldn’t be here! You should be at home resting!”
“I’ve rested a lot Loraine, but this little lady misses her dad. But I came to talk to Mandy first, is she in?”
“Of course of course. How is the little lady doing?”
You set the car seat on the desk for Loraine to look.
“Oh she’s so beautiful.” Loraine whispered.
“She really is.” You smiled softly.
Mandy had seen you come in, so she came out of her office and stood next to you, smiling at the little baby.
“Oh she’s stunning (Y/N).”
“Thanks Mand. I came to see Steve if that’s okay? Kira’s been crying nonstop, and he’s got a way with calming upset babies apparently.”
“Of course yeah, I think he’s getting ready to cover a lesson in the library actually, come on I’ll take you.”
While you and Mandy walked, Kira started fussing again and you sighed softly, setting the car seat down, you looked at her.
“Oh baby come here.”
Taking her out, you held her on your arms and Mandy picked up the car seat for you.
“Thank you.”
“It’s no problem, she’s such a soft crier.”
“Honestly mand you should’ve heard her at home. I could’ve sworn this girl was going to cry the house down.”
Mandy laughed a little and knocked on the library door before pushing it open.
“You’ve got a couple of visitors Mr Bell.”
Mandy held the door open and you walked in, Kira fussing quietly in your arms and immediately Steve was up on his feet standing in front of you.
The moment steve was standing in front of you, he reached a finger out, putting it in her hand and she wrapped her little fingers around it.
“What’re you two doing here? Isn’t it nap time?” He asked.
Mandy set the car seat by the desk and quietly left, and you looked up at Steve.
“Kira has decided that today is the day to test her lungs and see how loud she can scream.”
Steve laughed a little bit, and he reached over, taking her from your arms, he held her on one arm and walked over, pulling the chair out for you to sit down.
He sat down on the desk and held Kira in his hands, resting her feet on his leg he bounced it up and down.
“Are we a little troublemaker today?” He asked softly.
Kira babbled a little, reaching out her hands and you smiled softly, taking a photo of them both.
“She really is her dads little girl huh?” You chuckled.
“I’m irresistible that’s why, everyone loves me.”
“Oh be quiet you and your huge ego.”
Steve laughed a little and stood up, leaning down, he kissed your head and gestured to the coffee cup on the table.
“Have it, I’ll get another.”
“Thank you darling.”
You sipped the drink, turning your attention to the papers on the desk while he walked around finishing what he was doing.
He held Kira on his hip, and she babbled to herself quite happily.
“Hey did you bring the thing you put on your chest so she can sit in it?” Steve asked.
“Yeah, hold on.”
You got up, grabbing it from the bag you walked over and put it on him, and he put Kira in it, smiling down at her.
“Is that better baby girl?” He asked, “huh? Is that better for you?”
Kira babbled and you smiled, kissing her head you looked up at steve and he leant down, giving you a quick kiss.
“Have you eaten?”
“No not yet.”
“Right, I’ll be back.”
Steve wondered towards the library doors.
“Steve! You can’t just wonder off with my baby!”
“I’m not! I’m wondering off with my baby.” He beamed.
With that, he left and you rolled your eyes, sitting back down, knowing Kira was okay with him.
Steve went to the staff room, going through his bag he pulled out his lunch box and put the kettle on.
Kira made a small noise, and he looked down with a smile.
She was chewing on her fist and gripping his shirt tightly with the other hand, soft brown eyes gazing up at him.
“Aw Kira, do you like wondering around? Just a little explorer huh?” He smiled.
While Steve was away, you decided to look through his work out of boredom, and when the door opened your looked up.
“Miss? We didn’t know you were back.” A student said.
“Oh I’m not. I’m just loitering here.”
“That’s weird.” Someone laughed.
You looked up at the door as it opened again.
“See you think it would be weird but your teacher here ran off with my baby, so I can’t go anywhere.”
Steve set his cup on the table and handed you his lunch.
“Stop telling people she’s your baby, she’s my baby too. Jesus you’re gonna get me arrested one day.”
“Oh my god, is that your daughter?!” One of the girls gasped.
“It is. This is little Kira Bell.” Steve smiled.
He looked at you and you nodded, and he walked over to the students who all crowded around.
Steve took her from her little pouch and held her on his arms and all the students gasped and awe’d.
“Oh she’s so big yet so small!”
“Babies have hair? I didn’t know they had hair.”
You laughed at the comment, and ate your boyfriends lunch as you looked at him.
“Yes, babies have hair. Why wouldn’t they have hair?”
“I dunno just they like came out bald innit.”
A few students laughed.
“No. Babies do have hair.”
“Can she walk?” A girl asked.
Steve shook his head.
“No but we’re working on that aren’t we little lady.”
He sat her on the floor and immediately all the students sat down on the floor as well.
Steve took the harness off and set it on a table and crouched down, holding his fingers out and Kira took them, and he stood up.
Kira pulled herself up and stood there bouncing up and down happily, letting out a little laugh.
All the students awe’d again, and they asked if they could do it.
“You’ll have to ask her mum.”
The students all immediately looked at you.
“Sanitise your hands, because I know you’ve probably been eating on the way here, and of course you can. But you have to listen to Mr Bell very carefully, okay?”
The students all nodded and they created a little line so they could support Kira as they stood up.
You got up, standing next to Steve and he wrapped an arm around your shoulder.
“I think we have to start bringing her more often, I’ve never seen them so good.” He chuckled.
“I think I will start bringing her more often.” You smiled
Tearing up over Ackley Bridge? Only 4 episodes in? It's more likely than you think 🥲

Brazilian ambassador visits Brazil, Indiana
A U.S. ambassador visited a Wabash Valley city.
Brazilian Ambassador to the U.S. Nestor Forster made a stop in Brazil during a two-day visit to Indiana on Friday.
Forster said he insisted on making a trip to the city to continue a friendship between the city and the country. A friendship that has lasted for over 150 years.
Brazil City Council President Steve Bell said it was an honor to continue the friendship.
"We always think of ourselves as a small, midwestern community," Bell said. "To be recognized or even known about from a magnificent country and have a friendship that's grown over the years...it's just nice to rekindle an old friendship."
