New Album: Groundbreaker - Soul To Soul

'Soul To Soul' is the second album by Groundbreaker, the melodic rock project centred around the outstanding vocal talent of FM singer Steve Overland (pictured) and production skills of Alessandro Del Vecchio.

Groundbreaker initially began following a conversation between Steve Overland and the boss of his record label, who wanted to start a project on which European musicians would work with Steve on songs to highlight his stunning voice.

While Groundbreaker's 2018 self-titled debut was a collaborative songwriting effort that also involved Robert Sall from Work of Art and W.E.T, they are joined this time around by Stefano Lionetti of Lionville, Pete Alpenborg of Arctic Rain, Jan Akesson from Infinite & Divine and Seventh Crystal's Kristian Fyhr.

The resulting album is everything that a fan of the genre could hope for, with soaring hooklines, magnificent melodies and amazing instrumental performances galore on a record that is easily a melodic rock highlight of 2021.

The musicians on the new album include guitarist Sven Larsson (ex-Street Talk), bassist Nalley Pahlsson (ex- Vindictiv, Therion) and drummer Herman Furin (Work of Art), with Del Vecchio adding keyboards.

Following the warm reception afforded to their debut, fans can look forward to its even better follow-up.
