Can the musicians with famous parents achieve the status similar to theirs? Actually, the answer to this one differs from one to another, yet we can agree Enrique Iglesias managed to be as successful as his father. Sure, he didn't sell that many records – his dad remains one of the biggest sellers in the world –, though his releases did get huge numbers. Moreover, he transcended most of his peers from the late 90's Latin music scene by having a lengthier career than them. I think the reason for that might be the mechanisms of his works were closer to those of pop from the late 90's and the 00's, which he then imbued with his own strangely confident vulnerability. While his vocals stays in a point of contention, they do present an interesting persona, rarely present in Latin pop.
