yuzuru hanyu: favorite moments from the medal ceremony | aci 2017
awesome ad i got
should i play destiny or would you say it's not worth getting into at this point?
if you want to play it for the story - 100% not worth it. half the content (original vanilla campaign, dlcs (that people paid for!), previous seasons, etc.) is gone from the game so you'd just be dropped in pretty much in the middle of the story with 0 context for anything that's going on. at this point it's easier to just watch playthrough videos on youtube (please don't watch destiny lore youtubers they all suck) and read lore tabs online (www.ishtar-collective.net). story itself has been amazing up until a few years ago (not anymore!), so i recommend at least reading an overview of it, from vanilla d1 to season of arrivals
if you're interested in the gameplay - that depends. it's free to play so you can play the most base content any time and see how you like it for yourself. personally i love it - the gunplay is great, cool abilities, buildcrafting has gotten significantly better in the last couple years, movement is really nice too, and you can play dress up with your character. despite the numerous bugs and the dire state of PvP, it's just enjoyable to fuck around in this game from time to time. on the other hand - some of the most fun stuff is locked behind a paywall (weapons, dungeons, raids, even subclasses), and the game is in an awful state right now so it can be an absolute misery for new players to try to get into it, especially if you don't have someone holding your hand through it
in conclusion, as much as i love(ed) this game - i wouldn't recommend it to anyone as it is right now. ultimately it's up to you, doesn't hurt to at least try it out since it's f2p, who knows, maybe you'll love it
my guy btw 👇
