     Lapis was surprised at the sudden hug but patted his back in response to it before following him toward the beach. “Well, it’s the best I can do. So, from what I saw, your weapon is a shield, right? Than perhaps we need to work on free summoning.”

The Crystal Gem paced back and forth in front of the transporter, her index finger pressed against her chin as her head was lowered in deep thought.

This mission she was going to deal with was easy enough for even Steven to handle, but he would still need supervision. Perhaps this could be a chance for for the young boy to exercise his abilities and also have some fun.

Yet Ruby still doubted herself on this decision, it might seem easy but the future is unpredictable. I wish I still had future vision..

Her pacing came to a halt as the entrance of the house was pushed open and the subject of her thought came walking on through. He was here now, so...why not take him out for the mission, she considered herself as was stronger than Amethyst and Pearl, she could supervise him herself.

Steven sighed and smiled at her .“ Ruby i already told you try not to break the games remember what happened last!” Steven told he with a scolding tone then smiled again “hey i have an idea why don’t we go somewhere else?”

Ruby remained straight-faced as Steven scolded her, but she gestured an apology. This was the second time she broke the wrestling machine (Once as Garnet), but it was it’s fault for challenging her and failing.

❝ It just wasn’t strong enough, Steven! ❞ The red gem protested jokingly.

❝ And sure, lead on. ❞

Ha-ha, thanks, " he said happily cleaning the rest of his cheek" hey, I was going to practice using my gem on the beach want to help me out?" He said looking at her with a silly face and wiggling his eyebrows playfully.

     Lapis chuckled at him before clearing her throat and nodding. “Of course! I would love to help you with your gem!”

Steven smiled brightly as he watched the blue gem take a bite out of her doughnut"see I told you they were amazing," he said happily as he took another bite of his treat . He then cleaned his moth with a tissue leaving some frosting on his cheek.

     Lapis enjoyed eating the rest of the doughnut, though it felt odd as it passed through her. She shivered slightly before looking back at Steven. She then laughed and gestured to his face. “You have some of the sweet topping on your face!”

Ummm you eat it silly like this " Steven said as he took one big bite leavening his chubby checks full of frosting.

     Lapis chuckled at Steven before looking at the pastry in her hands. She gave it a puzzled look before hesitantly taking a bite. The sweet taste almost overwhelmed her, but she enjoyed it overall and felt her face warm slightly as she hummed. “Odd, I would never have though human food would have... flavour such as this!”
