I could not agree more with you guys! I for one like the art style, as well as the character design. I don't think I've seen a cartoon who actually drew... 'heavy' character as something serious and normal. Not like a joke, if you get what I mean. That's why I love Amathyest, Rose and Steven so much. She's obviously on the thicker side, like myself, and it doesn't hold her back, or made fun of, or referenced in any way, the only thing I can think of is that she's lazy and loves to eat... again like myself. But she's energetic and can totally kick ass. And steven is the same way, but for a younger boy, he's a hammy kid but if fully capable of getting stuff done! And as for Rose, she's big and beautiful! The show doesn't stereotype heavy or overweight characters as 'big, bulky, sweaty and getting in the way and doesn't know what's happening around them' live I've seen in Amazing world of Gumball with his dad, or with Johnny Test, or Flapjack, or fucking Unkl Grandpa! The art style clearly shows the differences in body type, and that these character are bigger, and still look amazing. I think that's why I love the show and the art style so much. It goes so deep for a show on CN and if open to gay couples and other topics. (Tho I saw a post on tumblr explaining why there fiscal bodies are female and how supposedly they go about making and maintaining a relationship, which I kinda figure/put together why, if the post is actually correct in some way, Rose was so... I dunno.. unknowing how to go about with the relationship with Greag. Because A) He's human B) he's male (This is going to be a long post, I am sorry) And speaking about Greg and another Tumblr post I found. I like the fact that they didn't take the ladder and made him a dead beat dad, like I think everyone thought in the earlyer episodes and like how he was originally drawn out to be. But over time we learn that he was more involved with Steven and the jems then I originally though, and I was VERY happy that they didn't take the lazy way out. I am so thrilled about that on a spiritual level. And that it references anime and that it brings some anime art style to the show. I mean, come on, Roses eyes, there gorgeous! As well as reference some of my favorite nintendo game 'koff koff' animal crossing 'koff koff' There are so many things about this show that make in unique from any other show I think I've ever seen! I hope to god that they keep this show going on CN for a very long time, even tho I really can't think of any plot for the story would keep it going sadly.. But anyway, that was my rant on this amazing and unique show. I Hope someone reads this and agrees whit why this show is so great. And I apologize for any spelling errors. I would like to see what everyone else thinks, so I would appreciate some replies and if you agree with me. Thank you!! I needed to get this off my chest x3
