An Update from Thomas Crone: "This afternoon, the Tick Tock Partnership went in front of the City of St. Louis Excise Commissioner, Robert Kraiberg, in order to request a liquor license for the Tick Tock Tavern. Over the past two months, we achieved successful numbers within our immediate community re: our two petitions, securing majority support from both property owners and from registered voters/licensed businesses. Also, we received positive endorsements from our Alderman, Christine Ingrassia, and the President of the Board of Aldermen, Lewis Reed. This body of support was sufficient for Commissioner Kraiberg to rule in favor of us at the hearing. Upon completion of one inspection and the filing of additional paperwork, we will be in compliance for the official granting of a liquor license for the Tick Tock Tavern at 3459 Magnolia. We will work in tandem with our neighboring restaurant, Steve's Hot Dogs - Tower Grove, 3457 Magnolia, in order to both be open this summer. We look forward to ensuring that even those who did not initially support us will soon feel that we are offering a positive, community-enhancing pair of businesses once our doors are open. We'd like to thank: our licensure compliance agents at Kelly & Associates; our attorney, Jonathan Beck; the staff and management of the Shaved Duck and Riley's Pub; several key members of the Tower Grove East Neighborhood Association; and multiple neighbors who helped out our efforts, in countless, little, but extremely important ways. Because of the nature of the process, which involves a great number of personal conversations, we've come to know many members of our immediate neighborhood and look forward to seeing them regularly over the build-out phase and beyond. With gratitude, Thomas Crone, Fred Hessel & Steven Fitzpatrick Smith
