Making this vegetable broth at home is easy and great for making soups, stews, and other dishes taste better. You can add your favorite herbs and spices to make it your own, and it's vegan-friendly.
Ingredients: 8 cups water. 2 large carrots, chopped. 2 celery stalks, chopped. 1 onion, chopped. 3 garlic cloves, minced. 1 bay leaf. 1 teaspoon peppercorns.
Instructions: Put water, carrots, celery, onion, garlic, bay leaf, and peppercorns in a large pot. On high heat, bring to a boil. Turn down the heat, cover, and let it cook slowly for 45 minutes to an hour. Put the broth in a large bowl or container after straining it through a fine-mesh sieve. Throw away the solids and let the broth cool down before putting it in the fridge or freezer.
