cons of living in rural massachusetts: people in “don’t tread on me” shirts coming into your workplace and you have to interact with them civilly like they don’t want you and people like you dead, “WE ARE PRO LIFE” bumper stickers, hearing shitty country music coming from a truck in the parking lot and walking just a liiiiiiittle bit faster into stop & shop because you probably wouldn’t get along with whoever’s behind the wheel, angry old white ladies w a swollen sense of entitlement, even though there are still less of them here there are still people and sometimes they even LOOK at you
