DIY Homemade Water Softener Recipe
Does your laundry come out of the wash a little stiff? You probably have hard water; here's a do-it-yourself, frugal recipe to solve that problem!
Using a labeled 1 gallon container combine:
1/2 pound arm and Hammer washing soda
1/4 pound 20 Mule team Borax
1 gallon of warm water
**Plastic milk jugs in gallon sizes that have been washed out work well for this.
To use the water softener, add 1 cup of the solution to each load of wash water along with your normal laundry detergent.
