Notes: Stiles invited Kenzi for playing games and eating some food. Some Stenzi feels like friends. Check read more if you want.
Kenzi was at her new home where she lived with Spencer. It wasn't a amazing flat but she was in love to this flat. She watched at television, at Family Guy. She laughed and she heard a her mobile phone. She looked at her phone next to her and focused vision on display. It was from unknown number. She opened this text and smiled. "So..S-man." She shook her head and texted him back that she was be here in few minutes. She stand up and went to her small room. She dressed to her typical clothes and combed her hair. She sat on her bed and put on her most favorite heels through which she was higher. Kenzi at herself at the mirror and winked. She went to outside to her flat and continued on the way to the sheriff's home.
Stiles was sitting on the couch, watching a movie but he was bored. He was thinking of playing some games and he remembered about Kenzi. He took his phone and texted her if she wants to come play. He waited for response. When she responded, he smiled and responded that he will order some food. He did what he said he would and went to the living room, prepare the games. Then he sat and played one game before he heard a knocking on their door. He got up and there was the crazy dressed girl he met few days ago. "Hey, come in."
When Kenzi looked around when she was in the street where was Stiles' house. She went to his door and knocked on the door. She bit her lip and looked around. She noticed that one old lady looked at her through the window. She raised her eyebrows and waved to her. That old lady crawled inside her house. Kenzi laughed a little bit and when she heard a voice of her new game buddy. She opened the door and came inside. She looked at Stiles and smiled. She closed the door. "What up, S-bang?" She pointed at him with her fingers. She looked around. "Well I 'm surprised that you texted me. But when you have a playstation...it can't dismissed." She smiled.
"Hey there, Kenzi." Stiles said and smiled. "I ordered some food just because of you." He said and faced seriously. "No, I'm kidding. I am hungry as hell." He chuckled and looked at her. So sit down, I'm going to the kitchen for some chips and.. Cola?" He asked. Then he left to the kitchen and took glasses, cola and chips. "So we can play Call of Duty, Assasins Creed, Need for Speed and a classic. Mario." He said and chuckled as he put everything on the table.
Kenzi smiled at him. "You are spoiling me." She shook her head and slaps him in his shoulder. "Cola, please." She nodded and looked around. She noticed a photos on the wall. She looked at these picture. When Stiles came back, she looked at him."You was really cute baby." She chuckled a little bit and sat on the couch. She took off her jacket and put her jacket net to her. "I'm in for Call of Duty." She nodded.
Stiles chuckled. "I have to spoil the unicorn." He said and he put his hand on his shoulder. "Ouch!" He said and got up to leave to the kitchen. "I order her food and she beats me up. So ungrateful!" He said quietly just enough for her to hear. When he got back he put his hand in his face. "Oh no, you weren't suppose to see these." He chuckled and sat down next to Kenzi. "So Call of Duty it is!" He said and started the playstation, choosing the game.
Kenzi grabbed a joystick of the playstation and looked at him. "No, you was really cute. That girl..Lydia..would be seen these pictures." She said with a grin. "Okay, sorry. I'm joking." She raised her eyebrows and hoped that he wasn't upset. She looked at television. "You know I'm really glad that you are in this town. You are the one and only who has a playstation and that's amazing! Because I would have died of boredom." She smiled and waited when he picked a game.
Stiles chuckled slightly. "I think she wouldn't talk to me ever again." He said as he smiled. "It's okay." He said. He shrugged and smiled smuggily. "Yeah, consider me as your savior. You can call me Captain America if you like." He teased and laughed. They started to play the game and he was concentrating on the game for a while. "So.. Where did you live before you got here with Spencer?" He asked.
Kenzi raised her eyebrows."Is she a mean bitch, right?" She looked at him. "My saviour? You think too much, Slim Shady." She smiled and looked at the game when it was starting. "I will kick your ass." She said before the game started. She played a game and she frowned on the television. "I lived there and there and there for a while. I'm traveler but I was born in Russia. That's why I have that ugly name." She said and was still concentrating on the game.
Stiles looked at her. "No, she isn't. She's just deffensive. People don't like her so she's being like this." He chuckled. "Hey, don't underestimate me or you'll be without a food and you'll watch me eat it." He said and laughed. "Yeah, you wish." He said and concetrated on the game. "Oh, that sounds kinda cool. You mean Kenzi? It's not ugly. I like it. It's original." He said and smiled.
Kenzi was still looking at the game and bit her lip. "But you like her every side, right?" She laughed and she shot one soldier. "I am very agile so I think you will be without food." She said and released one hand. She reached for a drink with cola and drank. She put her glass back on the table and she continued to play. "Cool? I don't think so. Yeah, it's original like Stiles. What's all this name?" She laughed.
Stiles smiled and nodded. "Yes, I do. Every each of her sides." He said honestly. As he played, he slit of one of her soldiers. "Haha, body to body fight and Stiles wins!" He shouted and did a little dance, still sitting. "Well, I've never been far away from this town so it is cool to me." He said. "Yeah.. My name is original. It's a name which my mother picked out for me." He said and went awkwardly silent.
Kenzi felt weird when he said that he really liked her. She bit her lip again because she didn't want to say anything. When he was dancing she raised er eyebrows. She slaps him into his thigh. "You was just lucky. Next game will be mine." She laughed and looked at him. She grabbed a bowl with chips and ate them. "Russia is not a interesting place. It's cold there." She nodded."Your mum? I like this name, Stiles. Don't worry. Your mum have a good taste." She smiled a little bit.
Stiles chuckled. "Yeah, yeah. Say it to yourself so you could feel better about yourself, loser!" He said and laughed. He took some of the chips too and ate them. He shook his head. "Uh.. Cold. I hate cold." He said. He was quiet for a bit longer and then looked up. "Yes, she had." He said and with these words he started another round.
Kenzi understood that he didn't want to talk about his mum. She nodded and before game started. She put a bowl of chips on the table and looked at him. She grabbed her joystick and played again. "Yeah, me too. That's why I'm in California." She smiled and watched a television. She didn't want to talk about a true reason why she ran away from her home. She envy Stiles that he had a dad who loved him and was nice to him.
Stiles played. "So are you like.. Going to attend Beacon High or what are you gonna do here?" He asked because he really cared. As he listened to her he concentrated on the game, waiting to attack. He almost killed her soldier again but someone knocked on the door. He turned around and meanwhile Kenzi killed his instead. "Oh, damnit! That must be the delivery. You will get less for the cheating!" He teased and got up to go open the door.
Kenzi looked at him with surprised look."Me and school? Good joke!" She nodded. She got up too and was dancing with her stupid moves. "I win." She laughed and looked at him when he went to open the door. "Moi? I'm not a cheater, Stiles." She said and sat back on the couch. She was looking forward for food. She was hungry. She checked her phone.
Stiles looked at her. "What do you mean by that? You don't go to school? So what are you doing all day?" He asked. He pouted. "You are." He said as a joke and opened the door. He took the food from him and payed for it. "Come to the kitchen with me." He said as he closed the door and went to the kitchen. He ordered pizza, some wraps and french fries. "What do you want to eat first?" He asked and looked at her.
Kenzi looked at him and went with him in the kitchen. She smiled at the food. "Because I sleeping all days." She nodded and stand to next to him. "Pizza, wraps and french fries. I'm in heaven!" She put her hands on her cheeks and looked at him. "I want everything, so I don't care."
Stiles looked at her uncomprehendingly. "So you're sleeping all days and you're not attending school or work. You're practically doing nothing except for eating and playing games. Aren't you bored, Kenzi?" He asked her when he looked at the food. "Also, when you're eating so much.. How come you're still so skinny? I'm just curious.." He said and looked at her with a chuckle. "Okay, hand me the plates and I'll do a mash up of the food on it." He said, pointing at the kitchen cabinet where the plates were placed. Waititng for her to hand him the plates he was thinking about everything what came up on his mind.
Kenzi looked at him. "That's why I found you like my friend, Stiles. And when I say your name..I mean it seriously." She looked at the food and smiled. It was like a paradise for her. "Well.. It's in my genes." She turned around at that cabinet and opened the doors from cabinet. She pulled out two plates and put them on the table. She looked at him. "Anything else?"
Stiles chuckled. "Oh, now I get why you're even talking to me." He said and looked at her. "You got some good genes then, girl!" Stiles took the plates and put them next to each other and started to prepare the meal. When he finished his "art" he went to the fridge and opened it. "Do you want some sauce?" He asked and looked behind himself at her.
Kenzi laughed. "What? That's not true. You seemed lonely that's why I am talking with you." She shook her head and sat on the chair. When he talked about genes she remebered on her family. She sighed and looked at his "art". "Food art, beautiful." She smiled. "Yes, I want a ketchup. Without a ketchup..it taste awful." She nodded.
Stiles frowned. "Ouch, that hurt me. I am the most funny person in the world so.." He said as he chuckled. "Yeah, I am very proud of my food art." He said with another chuckle. "O-kay. One ketchup on it's way." He said, took the ketchup out of the fridge and closed the fridge. He handed the ketchup to Kenzi along with fork and spoon for both of them, her and him and took the plates to the living room. "What do you think about watching some movie? Star Wars maybe?" He said as he put the plates on the table, sat on the couch and waited for her response.
Kenzi smiled. "Dude, you are." She followed him with a fork and spoon for them and ketchup in second hand. She sat on the couch and looked at him. "Well, I like Star Wars but I think we can watch at an another movie. But not movies like Twilight, please." She did a grin and looked at this food. She was looking forward at that food. She was glad that she and Stiles are like really good buddies.
Stiles chuckled. "Haha, I know!" He said with a grin and nodded. "Okay, so what do you want to watch?" He asked. "And don't worry. Twilight isn't in my vocabulary." He said and snapped his finger.
Kenzi smiled at him. "What about Avengers or Captain America?" She nodded and laughed. "And if we can't watch at Avengers or Captain America? I have a weapon and I can kill you." She pointed at him with a fork and smiled. "I'm glad because it's not a movie. It's a bullshit!" She did a grin again.
Stiles nodded and took a breath to say that it's a good idea but then she continued. He chuckled and took is knife. "And I have a weapon too, so I can protect myself!" He laughed. "But luckily for me, I have both of them. What kind of nerd would I be without these movies at home?" He said and got up to put the DVD into the DVD player. "We're watching Avengers then." He said when he sat back, turned on the movie and took his plate along with fork and knife and started eating while watching the beginning of the movie.
"Really dude?" Kenzi whispered, holding her lacrosse stick like it was a ninja sword as she and Stiles hid in the school gym. "Your basis for killing zombies is The Walking Dead? These are more like Resident Evil zombies! How have you never seen that?"
"You know, in between preparing for a werewolf power struggle in my little hometown and not getting eaten by said werewolves and watching my dad's cholesterol levels, I wasn't exactly thinking to brush up on my zombie hunting skills in case some moron was cooking up a virus in a lab in Nowheresville, America that could turn anyone with the flu into a full fledged flesh eating monster!"
"Well where are your werewolves now? They tucked tails and ran."
"And where's your Succu-butch girlfriend? I don't exactly see her out there cleansing out peoples' zombieness with her vagina."
Kenzi stomped her foot, hands curling tightly around the metal in them as she resisted the urge to club Stiles with it and leave him as food while she made a getaway. "If we make it out of this to the safe house and I find my katana that you dropped, I'm chopping you into sushi and using you as bait!"
"Well I'm very tasty so I'm sure the zombies... hey!"

Stiles/Kenzi
"I remind myself I was lucky to have had any time with him at all. What I'm not sure about, is if our lives have been so different from the lives of the people we save. We all complete. Maybe none of us really understand what we've lived through, or feel we've had enough time."
It's a blow to Kenzi when her pessimism actually wins out. When she'd told him they'd never live through any sort of werewolf or Fae war, she never actually meant it. She thought it was just something they'd say and laugh in the face of when they both came out of it with their war wounds to compete over. He would've lost an arm or a leg or something and she would've been adamant that her stab wound was a lot worse than his paper cut.
But when she'd found him unmoving, eyes staring blanking at the dying fire from the compound, she didn't understand it. It wasn't meant to go like this. And when she'd cried over him, shaking him to wake up, get up, move, do something, until Dyson had to cradle her in his arms and walk her to the car, she wondered why they couldn't save him.
They'd saved so many people - her and Bo and Dyson and Hale and Trick and even Lauren. Some of them had even been dark Fae that didn't deserve saving. People who probably went on to do crappy things, meaningless things, things that never would've bothered Kenzi before she watched Lauren close Stiles' eyes. But Stiles had so much to do. So many promises to fulfill. To himself, to his dad, to Kenzi.
She'd never made actual plans for a future, passed a week. But with Stiles she could. She could see them doing things. Anything. So long as it was far away from the supernatural, where they were safe to live out their lives.
But while she watched from the back of Dyson's car, her knees pulled to her chest and her mascara burning her eyes, as Hale, Lauren and Bo hefted Stiles into the back of the doctor's van, Kenzi couldn't bring herself to care about any future where he wasn't.
Neither of them have ever liked hospitals so it's ironic that they spend most of their... whatever it is... in one. But that's the price to pay for being the humans in a supernatural world.
Kenzi hates hospitals because of how cheery the nurses seem to be, how the doctors expect you to know all the medical bullshit jargon that only people without PhD's know from House or Grey's Anatomy, how vulnerable it makes her feel virtually chained to the bed by an IV and a stupid paper gown.
Stiles hates it because of how normal it seems. There's no weird smells or plain white walls like books or movies lead you to think. It was almost comforting to be eight years old and walk down a hallway with lilac colored wall and seashell wallpaper border, even as he clutched his father's hand every day for months to visit his mother. Childhood naivety lead him into a false sense of security that shattered the same time his mother did.
So laying in a double room next to one another, when Kenzi has nightmares and mumbles in Russian about her Papa, Stiles gingerly gets out of the bed, grabbing on to his IV stand, and pushes his bed until the large plastic railings are pressed against each other. It takes him awhile, his stitches threatening to pop and his cracked ribs screaming in protest, but Kenzi needs him. He'd walk over hot coals if she needed him that badly.
Wiping the sweat from his brow with the edge of the pillow as he settles back into his bed, he gingerly slides until he can find a comfortable position again. He can only see the left side of Kenzi's face over their railings, her hair mused and ear twitching in her sleep. But when his hand wraps around hers tightly, comfortingly, she sighs softly and relaxes into her dreams.
