you don't imagine how much it gets better ! basically s3 > s1 > s2 (well especially the second half ot it, it was too long). s3 has only six eps by now but i've never enjoyed the show so much because of character developments/dynamics between the characters/relationship/plots/emotional stuff/sass, everything really, you won't regret watching the 2 first seasons when you'll reach season 3 :)
