Diana had desperately been trying to hold on to her humanity. The biggest part of that humanity had been the people who had always kept her grounded before she became a vampire. Those people, specifically, had been Stiles, Scott, and Jenna. However, her focus wasn't as much forced on the latter two as it was on the former. Stiles, as he always had been, seemed to be one of the few people that she couldn't shake. It was only a night ago that she had tried to shake him from her life. She had lashed out at him when he offered to help her since she’d been fearful for his own safety. Diana didn't want to hurt Stiles and had had a slight feeling that she would if he didn't remove himself from the situation. Luckily, her frigidness had gotten him away to a point. But, he still loyally chose to stick beside her after a short amount of time.
Diana couldn't really say that she was upset that he was trying to still be a part of her life. There was still a part of her that wanted him there. But, she was also fearful. It was this fear that gripped her as she numbly walked up the stairs to the Stilinski household. She held onto the container that held the treats he’d ask for and had to remind herself not to grip too tightly. With her new found strength, there was no doubt that she would ruin the batch with her own nerves. She focused on the sounds that came from the inside of the household. The blonde heard random background noises, but found herself focusing on one thing in particular. She found herself tuned into the faint heartbeat inside and felt her stomach lurch in response. She felt her muscles tense as she got the urge to bolt in the other direction; but quickly she tried to pull herself together. “You can do this,” She muttered to herself. She then lifted up a trembling, delicate hand to ring the doorbell and announce her arrival.
