I saw your post about your grandma, and I just wanted to say that something similar happened to me, my mother said it wasn't appropriate for a girl to study sports psychology and that I should choose something different, it hurt at the time but regardless I stuck with it, and again similarly it wasn't up until 3 days before the deadline that my offers came through, all being unconditional. You're fantastic and things will be ok, go out and do YOU, not what people want you to be, all the love ❤️

I get what you’re saying, but christ, it’s hard when literally everyone in your family expects you to become a failure?? That’s probably not the most appropriate word, but yeah. I’m so fed up people telling me to ‘just get a job as a secretary lol it’s easy’ like?? but I’m so!!! scared to speak up and stand up for myself. I just ended up laughing w/ and repeatedly told them these two words: “Yeah. Okay.” :-(
