I think they spent a lot of time together in recovery pre-ts, considering they were usually the two most injured after any big fights. (with Zoro's terrible habit of pushing himself past his already-considerable limits, and Usopp being a Normal Teen being exposed to Extreme Physical Trauma)

HC that Usopp, in an effort to trick Zoro into actually staying still and resting instead of hitting his weights, would buy time by doodling on his bandages. "You can't move or you'll mess up my lines!" Accompanied, of course, with the dramatized account of his fight on the island.

Zoro will "tolerate" (he enjoes the company and the touching) Usopp's yapping, on the condition that Usopp draws him some sick designs to wear until the bandages need changing out.
