They did talk. More than we know.

In Germany (or at least the bubble of the fandom I’m in) we mostly use ‚Atemu‘ instead of ‚Atem‘ in writing while still pronouncing it without the U.

Mostly because Atem is already a German word. Which means breath.

So „Yugi kommt zu Atem.“ could mean „Yugi comes to Atem.“ but also „Yugi catches his breath.“

It also means every time the word ‚Atem‘ comes up on a conversation my stupid mind provides me with a quick flash of our pharaoh.
