Where i work they tell us if we think someone is shoplifting then we should go up to them and be like “hey I saw you had X product earlier I just want to let you know we had y product which is similar” or something along the lines of that. Pretty much every time I’ve done that they drop what ever they took on the nearest shelf once i walk away.
And I’ll be honest with you usually the management of my store isn’t all that concerned with all of the sales associates going up after everybody they think might be shoplifting. It’s basically only go after the ones who you’re like 90% sure I actually took something.
Aghhh I would die. I don’t know how everyone makes this sound so easy. Like maybe at the start it wouldn’t be so bad, but now the frequency of it is really piling up and it’s just. Super freaking overwhelming.
That’s reassuring though! At least they’re not super-duper stringent about it though (like my brain likes to be). Of course, that means the times you’re actually doing it are the Super Serious times, which is the opposite of good.
