I was wanting some spaghetti & meatballs last night so bought some ground beef. Thought I had more in the fridge/cabinets to make the sauce but alas, no. So decided to make "Whatever I found in the fridge/cabinet I know it's not really but I don't care so shut up" bolognese sauce! Cut bacon into bits & fried up. Had some pepperoni & chopped it into small pieces. Added to bacon & fried in that juice. Added minced garlic. Dropped in minced beef & let brown up. Now I didnt have any canned tomatoes/fresh tomatoes/tomato paste. But I keep some bottled marinara sauce on hand whenever I'm feeling lazy & just want for dipping or something. So I threw a bottle of that in & mixed thoroughly. No onions, carrots or celery. Hmmm...Oh look! A small can of black olives. You go in too! Hey, there's a bit of white wine. Jump on in! And why not a few pats of butter. Get in there! As I stirred it up, I added salt/pepper/paprika/onion powdercrushed red pepper/truffle oil. Threw in a bit of cream & stirred up. Added a ton of shredded parmesan. Stirred & let simmer for quite awhile. Cooked up some fettucine. Grabbed a small aluminum dish & put mozzarella in. Placed in toaster oven to melt. Added sauce, then fettucine, then more sauce & them mozzarella on top. GODDAMMIT SO GOOD IN MY MOUTH I DONT CARE IF IT WASNT A REAL BOLOGNESE IT WAS MINE SO THERE. #ChefJimmy #cooking #bolognese #notabolognese #fettucine #throwingtogetherarecipe #stilldelish
