@stillnotanonymous - ahhh, I see what you’re saying. though I do feel like at least Steve Jobs, for all his faults as a person, did...have a huge impact on culture (via Apple and associated products), where Elon Musk doesn’t quite have the same...well, he talks a lot about having that kind of impact, but I don’t feel like his ~creations~ are (at least as yet) culturally embedded in the same way.
...not that they aren’t both awful, just that I feel like Musk’s cult makes even less sense because of his, uh, general lack of broader contribution as far as I can tell.
though I’d be really curious to hear more about your thoughts on “embedded in the culture” because that sounds interesting!
