OOC Update: Still alive!

Long time no see!I don't really have the time to make this post long and wordy (or fancy and pretty, unfortunately), so I'm just going to get to the important bit:

You may have noticed it's pat the end of May and I'm not back yet. Don't worry, this blog has not been abandoned and I am coming back. I have been quite busy lately with school and life in general and writing is not something I really have the mindset to do currently. I still want to continue the threads I have going with you all, as long as you do too. If you want to drop a thread, I understand.

I can't predict when I will be back, but it will be within the next month, perhaps two months, at the most. Thank you all for being so lovely and patient and I can't wait to be back.

☺I have eaten three tootsie pops today and I am not planning on stopping any time soon. #4 is in my mouth as we speak. Or as I type, whatever. ☻Got walked in on by Eamon one time. Might have definitely been a little bit sort of on purpose, maybe.☻I put Alistair's dirty sock in Wynne's bedroll out of spite. She was being annoying and it smelled pretty bad. Seemed fitting.

The moon was hidden behind the clouds tonight, which meant every pickpocket and rogue would be taking advantage of the extra shadows in the streets. Fenris wasn't a big fan of thieves, especially those who prayed on the weak. On nights like this, he would take to the streets, watching out for anyone who seemed to be in trouble. He didn't do it for the coin, or for any gratitude, or even to protect innocent people. The thieves of Kirkwall needed to know their behavior wouldn't be tolerated, and not just by the guard. 

So when he spotted a high-born woman walking the streets, he began to shadow her movements, watching the shadows around her. But as he observed her more closely, he noticed the two blades she wore. By the way she carried herself, the elf knew she could use them. This woman could obviously defend herself. Fenris almost felt bad for any thief who tried to steal from her. Still, it would be quite a show, so he continued to follow her.

Taking a seat near the sleepless elf, Maeva stretched out her legs and beckoned the elf to rest her head on her lap. "Get comfortable" She murmured softly, and soon the human began to gently run her fingers through Kyllian's dark hair, taking some locks and braiding them loosely with well-practiced ease. She had been doing so for a while before she began to quietly hum a simple, soothing tune; the same that her mother had used to put her to sleep when she was young. -{Hope this is okay uwu}-

I laid my head upon her knees, like a small child did to their mother after a nightmare, allowing themselves to be comforted by gentle hands, the gentle vibrations of the parent's voice. Something about this was soothing. I closed my eyes, and for just a little while the dreams, the pictures dissipated and I drifted to a light sleep.

Sometimes it was nice to have a friend.
