@nafhalf results from today, about what I expected given this was really just a training run and not a race for me. I didn't execute the way I planned. Went out too fast and paid for it in final couple of miles. Had I been more disciplined I might have ended up a little faster and snuck onto the AG podium - something that was explicitly not a goal today. It wasn't even until I got home and checked results that I even knew I had come that close. No rain, just stifling humidity again. Fall and dryer conditions are coming, though. Finally got out for a humid 10-miler this evening. 79° with 73° dewpoint even as darkness fell. I started as the sun was setting and before long was on a pitch dark Rt. 123 bike path. The humidity just built slowly and by the time I hit about 7 miles I was completely soaked. The pace was not great but I did negative split the run and I’ll take that for the night. Afterwards @lynnucla met back up from our respective workouts and headed over to @caboosecommons to wind down. I’m not off for Columbus Day tomorrow, not technically speaking. We have a “mandatory company offsite” at Bowl America in Falls Church. I get to show off my complete lack of bowling skills in the name of team building, 😂.
