Last night Kat Kramer and I headed to Long Beach with a special screening of Gary Lane and Larry Lang’s “Still Working 9 to 5” a documentary on the ground breaking comedy starring Dolly Parton, Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda. Still Working 9 to 5 was shown at the Art Theatre to a lively crowd of fans and feminist and ERA activist. The documentary was amazingly good with lots of inside information and salient interviews both supporting woman’s causes and the ERA. The phrase that resonated during the evening in support of the ratification of the ERA Amendment was women don’t you want to be in the constitution? It hit home! We stayed a little later after the screening to have a supportive conversation with producer Camille Hardman and some of the other folks in the film.
