The Jet Report: Aug 17 Rewind Plaxico Burress returned to practice on the same day that new Jets LB Aaron Maybin both signed a one year deal with the Jets and took part in his first practice. Maybin will be used as a part time speed rusher with the hopes that a change of scenery can help the former 2009 Bills first round pick settle into the NFL finally. The broken leg suffered by backup center and guard Robert Turner could leave him out for up to two months while RB Joe McKnight’s injury against the Texans has been ruled a concussion. This leaves the door open for rookie Bilal Powell to showcase his skills in the coming weeks. The Louisville RB played well in Houston and could make a serious bid now for a spot in the backfield rotation. Possible offensive line additions for depth could include former Giants Shaun O' Hara and Rich Seubert, as well as former Saints RT Jon Stinchcomb.
