From my Dad: Jesse Stinson of Stinson Studios

Growing up in my family, Dad’s workshop was as much “home” as our old farm house.  My first steps off the school bus always took me to the shop.  After a quick wave to get Dads attention, I’d warm up the kettle for our daily cup of Earl Grey tea. To this day, I can’t drink a cup of Earl Grey tea without smelling the scent Dad carried with him of wood shavings and tree sap. Thirteen years after stepping off that school bus for the last time, Dad’s workshop has grown into our ever expanding collection of studio buildings and we are busier by the day.  When we are pushing hard, or need to sit down and make some plans, one of us always warms up the kettle. I now live next door, and will be having a son of my own in a month.  If you know my Dad, it should be surprised that we are already talking about how my little boy will be getting off the school bus, right here, just like I did. I guess we will soon have three generations of the Stinsons taking a tea break. Happy Fathers Day!
