Fourth rec for Fandom Friday!!

Note: that tag that says “like so much angst”? Believe it. This fic is wonderful and everything I ever didn’t want and also wanted for this pairing. @foxnonny is wonderful at breaking hearts, and I honestly haven’t found a fic of theirs that I haven’t loved (so do yourself a favor and go read!). The amnesia that separates Fenris and Hawke is handled so well, and the ending is...the ending and it’s perfect.

After the end of the Reaper War, Tali discovers secrets on Rannoch and asks Liara for help. Tali and Liara as history nerds and many original quarian characters. This is a story of adventure and discovery, a look into quarian history. Deviates very much from canon.

Final rec for Fandom Friday!! Bookending my recs today with non-Dragon Age stuff, apparently :)

My sister actually linked me to this fic a while back because someone she knew had talked about it, and I read what was up at the time and loved it. It’s such an interesting look at the quarians and their history on Rannoch, and every bit of the details revealed just made me want more! I’ll be honest and say I haven’t read the most recent couple chapters, but I will and I am really excited about it and I promise I’m going to leave comments this time through, @barbex!

Tali and Liara are so in character and this is one of those fics where it’s really easy to hear their voices in your head. The original quarian characters are fleshed out, complete beings in their own rights, and they’re so wonderful. Highly recommended!

AU: Anders gets on the boat to flee Ferelden and is sold into slavery instead. In Tevinter, he is purchased by Danarius and forms an unlikely relationship with Danarius's bodyguard, Fenris.

Story to be completed in three arcs, the first of which is told by Anders.

Third rec for Fandom Friday!!

This is one of the first fics I absolutely devoured when I was new to Dragon Age fic. I highly recommend all three arcs, as they tie in to each other and the ending is, well, I won’t spoil it for you, but it’s perfect for the characters and the way they progress through the arcs. It’s also the kind of ending that I haven’t really seen much of in fic, so it was really welcome.

This fic is not for everyone! It is angsty and hard on the heart, as well as including pairings not everyone likes, and we all know enough about what generally happens in slave fics, so please take care of yourselves when reading (or not reading).
