LISTEN I know it’s a diff universe but I just watched Good Omens and imagine Death on his cool skeleton motorcycle right, and then there’s just a pink sidecar with tiny Ysabell in it

okay but Mort just freaking woke up in bed in Death’s realm with no recollection of getting there, so like,,,, you can’t tell me something like this didn’t happen

I know it’s been a bit but anyways here’s a short list of some things Susan totally gets from her dork parents

-Mort’s distinct ability to look absolutely dead inside at any given time

-Susan def has a super cutesy laugh like Ysabell and she hates it So Much

-I’ve mentioned this before but Susan’s complete and utter lack of understanding of poetry is definitely from Mort

-how little patience Susan has for everyone? That’s def from Ysabell

-I’m pretty sure Susan overworks herself a lot and that’s definitely from Mortimer “passes out from sleep exhaustion during his book” Sto Helit

-her characteristic sarcasm is also from Ysabell

-Susan’s super curly hair is from Mort don’t @ me

-Ysabell would def beat up a bogeyman, so yeah

I got my laptop fixed and had access to my drawing tablet today for the first time in two weeks and this is the first thing I made lol

The world needs more Mort and Ysabell!

Dang you right

I was gonna try to draw something for ya but my hands weren’t cooperating, so have some headcanons instead lol. Also! Not sure if you noticed but I have my headcanons and art for them linked in my description if you want more of my stuff ha ha

-Ysabell’s way more extroverted than Mort, but since she hasn’t been around people all that much in 35 years she has to ease back into busy social settings

—a lot of their dates are just walking around Sto Helit. Sometimes they go to dinner but most of the time it’s just going around holding hands and talking to people

-Mort likes to hang out in the stables a lot bc the smells remind him of home so sometimes Ysabell will join him and they’ll just lay in the hay or something

—they’ll go out riding if they’re not busy

-Ysabell teaches Mort how to braid hair to help with his anxiety since it’s a simple thing that’s easy to get distracted doing

—plus they get to cuddle up together while he’s doing it

-Mort has to be taught what clothing is appropriate for his fancy new job bc he’s just a farm boy who thinks anything’s nice if it’s not patched

—Ysabell does her best to help but it’s been a hot second since she’s known what the current trends are

-they’re both super clingy of each other

-also they like to take turns reading to each other before bed bc they’re dorks

-when Mort’s not busy he’ll take Ysabell out on picnics, too

—they go out far enough that when it gets dark they can see stars. They’re simple people that will take any excuse to snuggle for an extended period of time

-sometimes they just like to get drunk and complain about dumb stuff for a while and then, you know, make out and such

You know that one thing where the kid’s going “d-d” and the dad goes “oh are you gonna say dada?” and the kid screams “death!” ? That’s Mort with Susan

Dang Mort and Ysabell are getting called out by the onion AGAIN

Can’t wait for the Watch series to come out so Susan can cameo in it and I can over interpret the vague thing she’s gonna say about how Death is her grandfather to get Mort and Ysabell content
