Stoch11.zip - 9 KB
Revamp of my previously posted stochastic synthesis patch. You can draw a triangular type wave or just let it run randomly. UI is simpler and cleaner from the last version too.

“stochastic synthesis.zip” - 5 KB Unzip to a folder somewhere. Been ages since I posted a patch, but here’s that monophonic stochastic synth I was messing with yesterday. I got too excited and lost sleep over it. The [gen~] stuff is pretty simple, and the random walk part of the stochastic technique has been ad-hoc’d with [drunk] objects. I couldn’t quite figure out how to replicate the walk at signal-rate inside [gen~]. Need to practise [codebox]. Anyway, as you can see, the random walk part displaces 2 points on a triangular shape, and the code inside [gen~] draws that wave to a [data] object, then plays it back at whatever frequency. Fun stuff.
