Exhausted
*sleeps facedown to protect my soft belly from predators*

Back sleep experiment - night 1
So, for the past about three weeks I have had a pinched nerve in my neck (thanks cervical stenosis!) that is making my neck and back and shoulder ache. Getting to sleep and staying asleep as a stomach sleeper, without making it worse, has been a challenge. So you can imagine what a sleep/deprived asshole I have been for lo these few weeks. I have gotten a few nights here and there courtesy of a pretty high dose muscle relaxer. But this cannot be a long-term solution. So I have decided to try to learn how to sleep on my back. This should be good for both my aging skin on my face and help reduce pressure in my neck and back. So tonight is night 1 of sleep training. I have a breathe right strip on my nose (the one for sensitive complexions), a bodypillow wedged under my knees, a cervical neck pillow under my back and neck, and an elastogel cold pack on the nerve area to help reduce inflammation for a little bit before I go to sleep. I got the muscle relaxers and a couple of heavy duty acetaminophen in the drawer next to me in case it comes to that. Let’s hope my neighbors are quiet tonight and I get a good nights sleep. Will report back.
wtf why aren’t stomach sleepers advertised on television. Like you see mattress and pillow commercials and all of those people are always on their damn back or side. That’s not real
