“Indeed!” The Padparadscha Sapphire definitely didn’t mind this as a first introduction, snuggling into the other’s hug the slightest bit. In all honesty, she was slightly shaken- who wouldn’t be when a much taller gem practically barreled into them?
“Is this a ‘normal’ Earth greeting?” Perhaps it was a custom of Earth! It wouldn’t surprise Padparadscha, who had to learn the concept of handshakes a few days ago.

Tiffy? Pearl couldn’t stifle her laughter at the other’s nickname for Tiff, covering her mouth with one hand. She couldn’t help it- simple as it was, it sounded so... odd, yet natural coming from the Sunstone.
Although Pearl was, in general, a rather wary gem, Sunstone seemed awfully friendly- and Tiff had assured her, multiple times, that she was a definite friend, and not a foe.
“W-Well... that’d be me!” Pearl definitely didn’t hide her pride in it, although she could feel her cheeks burning brighter and brighter. Pearl didn’t even know what to say, taking a deep breath and letting her blush slowly die down.
“I’m assuming the two of you are really close?”

who would be the one to randomly adopt a puppy without consultation: Tiff, and Pearl wouldn’t be able to turn poor Tiff down;
who would force the other to take aesthetic pictures of them: I can imagine Tiff being camera-shy and Pearl trying to encourage the other into some really bad photos because Pearl stinks at taking them pfft;; but in the end both of them get more and more comfortable with them, especially since Steven enjoys them too
who would do stuff they think is stupid just to make the other one happy: Both of them?? But I can see Pearl getting rid of her sense of dignity just to cheer Tiff up!
who picks out the horror movies to watch just so the other will cling to them: who the heck are we kidding both of these children are gonna be clinging onto each other
who is constantly studying and who is constantly trying to distract them: I don’t see this one applying too much, since both Tiff and Pearl seem to be more introverted and able to handle being by themselves fairly well
who initiates the facetime calls whenever they’re separated: Pearl, who always worries about Tiff disappearing for a thousand years again
who is more likely to storm out after a fight and who is more likely to cry when they do: Pearl, and then she’d immediately feel guilty because she’s, overall, more likely to be the angrier/more easily frustrated one in this relationship
who stays up way too late binge-watching their favorite shows: I don’t see either for the type to be into this, but I can imagine Tiff and Pearl watching certain things together in their downtime- especially with Steven
who sprays the other with water when they’re washing the car: I feel like this would happen by accident at some point, from either side, and then both of them would end up having a blast and getting overenthusiastic about it?? even better if they were trying to help at the car wash and there’s a distressed greg in the background and absolutely no cars getting washed- or getting washed only in crossfire oops
who has more fun decorating the house during holidays: okay but imagine tiff and pearl doing this together?? flower arrangements on the table replaced every week by Tiff, and assorted on other places like- this is the dream team if you want a wedding decorated
who is more likely to give the silent treatment when they’re mad at the other: Tiff feels like the silent angry type to me? I don’t take her as the type to explode easily, since she seems to internalize her feelings, and;; I have a feeling she might take it out on herself?
who plays with the others’ hair more: I can imagine Tiff threading flowers into Pearl’s hair, and Pearl constantly wanting to brush through the other’s hair and take s u p er good care of it.
who is more likely to climb all over the other one when they’re bored: I don’t see either in this scenario, since both are more withdrawn when it comes to affection

One thing could be said for sure- the metal was anything but pleased.
Smoke curled out of his nostrils, teeth pulled back in a snarl that displayed an array of rather sharp teeth, fists clenched at his sides. Zinc’s temper certainly wasn’t one that was best kept under lock- or kept in control whatsoever.
It didn’t help knowing that a mere servant- a servant!- had been able to get away from him and injure him! Although Zinc certainly was in no serious danger, a dull ache pulsed throughout his body, the pain radiating through his body. A simple Pearl, a gem arm accessory, being able to confront him verbally and physically? It felt ridiculous! Sure, the Pearl didn’t make it away unharmed, but Zinc craved the feeling of the other’s gem crushed in his palm after the heated encounter.
After all, she had been so damn mouthy! Gems weren’t on good terms with metals already- it was a given. But for her to abruptly accuse him of damaging Earth, to accuse all metals of being just as worthy of hatred as him- gritting his teeth, Zinc attempted to drag his attention away from the recent events.
Would it be best to tell the others that there were gems here? Part of Zinc felt almost obligated to- but, in all honesty, Zinc wanted the personal satisfaction of revenge. Having another metal get in the way or getting injured wasn’t preferable. Besides, they were mere gems- if anything, they’d be run off the planet before there was any need to confront them.
