Entry #2
“Somehow our intuitions already know what we want to be.”
So the next time you get a gut feeling of doing something, just wait a moment right there. Think over the thought, as in briefly outline the future pros and cons of the activity, and then accordingly go ahead with it.
It takes courage to follow our dreams and intuitions. I hope someday I can do the same.
The problem with me is that I just basically don’t know what I want to do. For most of this, I constantly find myself blaming the people around me. However, the people around me aren’t the only reason why I am the way I am, it is also the decisions I made till now.
I am sure if you smoke, then you must have thought once, “why do I even smoke?”. Believe it or not it is a decision that we made somewhere while we were growing up. Once we start doing something, it connects us with people with same like and habits. I remember my first we conversations in the college literally started by sharing ciggs together.
Later, as I noticed the change in the behavior of most of the individuals in my college group, I realized that the whole group after a year or so had almost the same mind set. I mean a year ago, each one of us was different, and for god’s sake some of us didn’t even smoke. However, by the end of the first year it was even the dorky MBA student who wanted a good night joint to ease him off to bed.
Nothing can be more disturbing than realizing that your own personality can be changed to such an extend.
