Giving women tips on avoiding sexual assault and/or rape is victim blaming. Also, those tips, such as telling a woman not to wear a short skirt, don’t really help protect potential victims from sexual assault and/or rape. Rather, such tips encourage women to place limitations on their own rights and therefore those tips harm them. In addition, these tips liberate potential sexual predators from accountability and they rather encourage them to commit sexual abuse.
