I told my friend group chat this, and I thought I would share my thoughts…
TADC ep 9 was leaked… and I’m kinda mad ngl. Ppl are canceling their tickets for the movie because of it, Gooseworks said she was kinda done with it and she doesn’t care anymore. And that makes me mad, when people, especially Indy artists work so hard on something, something that made them happy, only to feel so emotionless about it!? It makes me feel sick. Whoever leaked it was extremely wrong for it, and I don’t care what your reasoning behind it is. If you truly love a show story or fandom, then wait until it actually comes out, to support the ppl who worked so hard on it. I just can’t stand the fact that people are so obsessed with something that they can’t stand the thought of waiting weeks or months for something to actually come out.
Now this doesn’t only apply to TADC, obviously another big leak that came out recently is the new ATLA movie, which I will also be waiting to watch for the same reasons. But I would like to use a small correction I had with someone on Pinterest as an example.
I found a comment that was talking about the new ATLA movie yet, and I asked if they had seen it or was waiting for it to come out, I also made it a point to say that I was waiting for it to actually be released. Someone took me saying “Im waiting until it comes out” as something else IG and said something like “you know you don’t need to wait, it has been leaked and I can send it to you.” While it was nice of them to offer I wanted to make sure they knew I didn’t want the link to anything because I want to watch it in October when it comes out.
You can do whatever you want to, I’m not trying to make you feel bad about it. I just question why ppl are doing these things. I know how I would feel if someone did something like this to let’s say one of my fanfics. I would be furious, so the fact Goose doesn’t feel to strongly brakes my heart. Ty for reading my TED talk.
