Great turnout today for the abortion rights rally in Tucson -- I would guess more than 500 people. Maybe even 1000? Here I am with Greer at the Pima County Democratic Party booth, which was hopping with activity. The potential Supreme Court ruling that would limit abortion access nationwide and ban abortions in many red states like Arizona has resulted in a dramatic increase in voter registration. Why would the Supreme Court even consider making abortion rights a state issue? Why should a woman's right to control her body and her destiny be controlled by state government or any government? It is absurd that this is being re-litigated. Given that the Supreme Court now has an openly religious, conservative majority, these are dangerous times for our civil rights. Don't get depressed or frustrated. Get organized and fight for your rights ... and our country. #stopabortionbans @azhousedems @ld18dems (at Tucson, Arizona) https://www.instagram.com/p/CdjI09av5fIwT_z1kswD7EzmdjaF1W6d3gM1FU0/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
