I find it very odd that many of the people saying that was ONE bad cop or ONE white person hurting him as a way of explaining that not ALL cops are bad and not ALL white people are racist, are pretty quick to lump ALL the protesters and looters and rioters together to marginalize and say things like "that's not the way" or "your point is no longer valid" because of actions taken by some that they disagree with. The organizers of these events have asked for no violence or property damage. Protesters have gathered in some cities to clean up the damage. There are videos of instigators not participating in the protest but simply destroying property. There are opportunists using this time for personal gain. There are also people that are angry and are taking that anger out on property. There are business owners in fear and there are business owners in solidarity with the protests. Every group is made of many individuals with many motives and plans of action among them. If you can so easily isolate the actions of an individual on one side, you can do so in other situations. The organizers understand that was an individual.... they also understand that there are FAR TOO MANY individuals that take these types of actions against the black community at large and this is why they are organizing. Who are YOU to say that's not the way if you don't feel the same daily anger and pain? Who are YOU to dictate what is right for a group of people YOU are so easily able to marginalize as a uniform mentality? This is THE time to support your friends, help them be safe and advocate as a voice to those that cannot see them as a complex amalgamation of many drives.... just like every community is on this planet.
