OKAY I REWATCHED THAT SCENE AND I THINK I GOT IT.

So tragically this scene is pretty heartbreaking for Puen since Talay essentially rejects him twice: first by going "fuck no" and then, when Puen opens up about how he's lonely, Talay's response is "you should see other people lol" Actually looking at it again Puen is blinking a lot in the second-to-last shot before the intro, is he forcing back tears???

So with that in the back of his mind I think Puen would wait until Talay asks him this time, just to prevent that sting of rejection again (he almost walked away from his proposal for fuck's sake). Of course, their relationship has evolved a lot since then, but Talay (and by extension the things he says) has become all the more important to Puen. He doesn't have the excuse of financial strain this time; if they were to move in together now, it's because they want to--and what if Talay still doesn't want to?

So he's going to wait until Talay brings it up, so that he can be 100% sure there's no pressure involved, that it's a completely unanimous decision. That's what I think right now anyway :')
