“nothing can hurt me now.” - for the five word prompts :)
five word prompts
Takimi took a step forward. He breathed deep and slowly.
There was nothing wrong about the color white. It was a color. A stupid one on top of that. Who liked white? Well, Keiichi. And his mother. Sakura wore it a lot. But the white of his old bathroom was different. Stupider. It made the breath catch in his throat and his legs shaked.
His mother said that it’ll be better with time. It would be difficult until he could forget everything. Until that…
“It’s alright,” she said then.
It was alright in that moment. It wasn’t alright in front f the semi open door. Takimi could see the bathtub, so clean and white. The next step was harder and more painful than the last. He wanted to run and hide in his room forever. Or maybe just lay in the floor with his eyes closed. His legs seems to liked that idea.
“Hey.”
Keiichi’s voice was a blessing, his stern look and his hand in Takimi’s elbow were miracles.
“Hey you,” he said. “I was thinking about taking a really nice bath but I can’t even do that.”
“We’ve another bathroom.”
“Yes, I know.”
Keiichi closed the door. Takimi found himself without energy to argue. The tentative hug from his best friend was more than welcome. The hug was light, the hand caressing his was soft. It was soothing and he just wanted to cry in Keiichi’s shoulder.
White was stupid and he was stupid too.
“It’s just a color,” Takimi whispered. Keiichi didn’t said anything, he just pulled him closer. “I don’t remember that as a good as I used to. Before I could even smell it, you know? It should be alright.”
“It’ll be alright when it have to be.”
“So eloquent, Keii-chan.”
He wanted to melt into that embrace, but Keiichi wanted to see his ugly crying face, apparently. Takimi tried to clean it fast; Keiichi was faster.
“Look, smartass, what I’m saying is that no one expects you to be alright just yet. And, if someone does, well… It doesn’t matter. What matters is you and if you don’t feel alright that’s, well, alright.”
And if that someone was him? And if his steps become so painful that he couldn’t walk anymore? What then? Would it be alright?
Takimi didn’t say any of that. He smiled at Keiichi, the way he was used to do since forever, before wrapping him in another hug.
“Someone is feeling cheesy today.”
“Is there something… something more that’s hurting you? Did anyone said anything? A trigger? Apart from the color, that’s it”
Takimi sighed. “Nothing can hurt me now. Don’t worry.”
“Alright,” Keiichi said, but Takimi knew that voice. Keiichi knew that wasn’t alright. But it was enough. “Cheesy smartass.”

Risa, from Broken Strings, has OCD. It’s not severe, she can control it with sentences and images in her head, and sometimes little quirks (touching her hair a lot or bitting her nails, or tapping her legs). When she feels intense emotions she says her sentences out loud. In emergency situations she can’t do anything because her mind can’t just shut up.

Keiichi, from Broken Strings, doesn’t want a lot of things for himself. Since he was little he just wanted his mom to be happy and later his friends too.
The only thing he really wants and fights for is a family with Takimi

Takimi, from Broken Strings, is a very very petty person. He makes snide remarks whenever he sees someone that he doesn’t like (usually these people doesn’t care enough about it), gossips about them until his friends get tired of him, and in high school he used his popularity to start rumors about them (he isn’t like that anymore, thanks to Keiichi).
He thinks of himself a bad person because of it, tbh. He tries to not be like that but it’s very difficult.
Ceara and Derval, the two sisters of the dragon wip. They love each other more than anything in the world. They’re a little codependant, just because they’re the only people in wich they can trust entirely and understand what it’s mean to be them. These two have been training and learning together their whole lives, living in the woods in a temple protect with magic and just three other people supervising their lives.
Even when they leave the woods and come to the village of the clan chief, they still spend most of their time together. Ceara is very protective of Derval, who is a little naive, and Derval looks up to Ceara. This doesn’t mean they don’t bicker, oh yes they do a lot (and arguments). When they meet new people and become “weapons” to the chief in the war against other provinces their morals change dramatically and there’s… well, drama.
bonus point: their arcs are parallels. their relationship and what they do because of it it’s the whole point of the story.
31.- Does OC have siblings? Do they get along if they do? Do they wish they had some if they don’t?
I talked about Ceara and Derval, the most important sibling relationship in all my stories. So another sibling relationship…
In Broken Strings I have Risa and Kou, two siblings that used to have a very bad relationship. Kou needed help and Risa was verbally abusive to him, but he wasn’t the best brother ever. Both of them were assholes to each other (mostly their parents fault yeah but that isn’t a excuse, just an explanation). Years later their relationship is good and they love and they bicker but there’s still some resentment.
The worst thing about all of it is that, yes, they get along and they’ve similar morals and outlooks in life. When they talk seriously they agree in most things. If one of them is in danger or need any help, the other leave everything to go and help their sibling. But there’s some things you can just forget.
