Here is the revised and final version!
Some fixes have been relatively painless, just drawing in a bit more background. Unfortunately that’s really just a few.
Trying to resize everything and running into problems like this
nice one
So now I have to go back and make everything 16:9 because currently there are black strips on both sides. When I did the initial sketches I used my storyboard sketches as a template which were completely the wrong dimensions. I realised this awhile ago and should have changed it then, but I was too focused on completing the animation.
Some shots will be easy to adjust while some will be a massive pain as they involve animations I made in various bits of software and then I’ll have resync it all and everything...ugh.
wrong dimensions. first render.
Trying to figure out how the storyboard will end as I didn’t have a proper resolution in my initial sketches. This is a draft of what I think will be the last shot.
I realised that I never did much research/idea generation regarding the style of my drawings. I used to draw loads when I was younger and I used to make (not very good) comics all the time, and though I haven’t really drawn much since then my style is basically the same. So I never thought much about what I’d do for this project; I just drew the way I always have.
As evidence, we kept a bunch of them going back to 2010! These ones are from 2011 - the comics themselves probably won’t make much sense as they were all about swimming but you can see that the style is similar. Though hopefully it’s a bit neater now.
