Beachside Life : Strand Zuid
Seriously what do you do in Amsterdam when the temperature hits 32degrees celsius? Honestly, you either sit in side in your bathtub of cold water, you head to one of the magnificent parks or you get the hell out of the city!
Well even on a winter day Strand Zuid, is perfect. I have found hidden gem away from the tourists!
So it's behind the Rai Convention centre over looking a canal/lake that leads onto Beatrix park.
I ride past every day to go to work and never stopped in. Well it was a perfect end to the heat of the past weekend. Lovely wooden decking with plenty of places to rest your bottom, great music, and a fantastic atmosphere in general. You can chill out or have dinner, but the perfect place just to get out of the house yet still be comfortable in the city.
