Recent photo of a stranger (Taloa) and her cute little dog... I had to make funny noises for about a minute until the dogs ears shot up and... SNAP... they went down a second later. Sometimes you miss those moments, it's such a cool feeling getting a roll back and seeing that you just barely caught it!
I feel like shooting on film is making me use my brain more... thinking about each shot, the composition, the lighting and waiting for that right moment, but not holding back and missing it.
Maybe it's also teaching me a little about life... someone said once that,
"Success is where preparation and opportunity meet."
And with that, I've been learning to prepare not out of fear, but in a place of trusting and resting. I think when you prepare for the moment, and live in rest, your more likely to step out of fear and into risk and actually embrace opportunity.
