I got this message from a Facebook friend last Thursday after I accepted his request. I accept friend requests from people I know personally, people I met from my friends or from other people, and people whom I share a lot of mutual friends with. Upon reading the message, I was weirded out and flaterred. I never thought I'd get a chance to encounter someone who took a leap of faith and asked me out. I mean, he just added me on Facebook. I don't even know if he already saw me in person and if his intentions were pure. He doesn't know if I'm really the person that he thinks that I am, but still, he took a risk and messaged me. I decided not to respond for personal and safety reasons. I'm sorry, stranger. I appreciate the gesture, but it doesn't work that way. I hope you understand.
