Looks awesome. Keep at it. Titans colors are the best colors lol.
Yeah. I have both versions of the RG, but the Titans colors version is missing it's v-fin, and I didn't want to build the same model a third time, so that's part of why I got the MG. After I got the MG-esque 1/20th scale Scopedog, MGs finally sort of clicked with me. Before that, I had only built the MG Crossbone, which I built back in high-school when I was fucking terrible at Gunpla (I was removing parts from the trees with my fingers), and the MG Zeta Plus, which I like, but it's on the older side and it has some flaws. The point is, neither of them made a strong enough impression on me to really make me want to spend the money to get more MGs, especially since I had leanings towards the 1/144th scale.
Anyways, when I got the Scopedog, that sort of showed me what a good MG is like, and so naturally I wanted more of them. I got the Mk II because it would allow me to have my preferred version of the Mk II in my collection again without having to build the same model twice.
Even though I've only built a bit of it, i have to say I might like the MG a bit more than the RG, even though the RG has better articulation and more advanced molding techniques. I think the two models are trying to accomplish different things, an I think I like what the MG is trying to accomplish more. The RG is trying to be a modernized, more detailed Mk II, and it does a really good job at that, whereas the MG feels like it's trying to really capture what was on screen, and honestly, I think that's more what I want.
if I may digress even further, when I first ordered it, I was thinking of making it a long term collecting goal to eventually get all the Zeta MGs they made, but then I realized there was a huge pastel-yellow elephant in the room.
The damn thing is fucking huge and it costs 12000 yen, and honestly, it doesn't seem like it's worth it. The Sazabi Ver Ka is around the same size, looks to be much more complex, and is 3000 yen cheaper. That makes it really hard to justify The O.
Shit, i did not mean to type that much. To anyone who actually read through it, I'm so sorry.
