[My Review] Rouge Coco 117 Magnolia
Recently I bought two Chanel lipsticks from Strawberry net for $39 each. One was a Rouge Coco and the other was Rouge Allure which I am going to write a separate review for. Chanel’s Rouge Coco line is well known for its endorsement by Vanessa Paradis, a French singer/actress/model.
Out of its 33 beautiful shades, I bought Magnolia this time (took me a while to choose!). Magnolia is toned-down pink - beauty bloggers in Korea often describe this sort of shade as ‘strawberry milk colour’ - and I have to say it is slightly too girly for my personality and face shape (I have a strong jawline and square forehead which give away very sharp image). Anyway here goes some pics.
I was comparing it with MAC Angel Frost as they both have that similar ‘strawberry milk’ shade but Magnolia is more of a translucent pink (with pretty glitters).
(Magnolia on top and Angel below) As you may know, Angel Frost was a must-have with smokey eye make up a few years back and I still think Angel would work better with strong eye make ups than Magnolia would. But Magnolia is awesome for everyday use for work (with minimal eye make up), giving very natural tint to your lips.
(Excuse my freckled face. I put minimal base and the photo is not edited in anyway to show the true colour of Magnolia) Oh another good thing, it sits on your lips for much longer than any other lip colours I have tried on so far. This is a huge plus for somebody like me who has not much time to fix face at work. Plus, it has a pleasant rose scent, which I absolutely love!
