After making a small noise of surprise at the sudden hug, he leans back a bit to see if he can see their face, to check if they’re okay, but it’s hard to tell since they have their face pressed into his shoulder. Instead he just hugs them in return, and strokes their back soothingly. “Is everything alright?” He asked quietly.

Demetri watched curiously as Strawberry walked into the hotel room he was staying at just to lay on the floor and whine. He got up from his place on the couch and walked over, crouching beside them and placing a hand on their shoulder. “Gentama..? Um… did something happen..?” He rubbed their back to try and sooth them from whatever had made them seem upset, a bit at a loss.
