Shifting Diary - Entry 1

I shifted last night!! My plan was to go to my MCYT DR to finish Past Life and then I was flying to Australia to visit Pearl. Which I did! I was thinking about staying in the DR for about 7 weeks to do what I planned but I stayed an extra week to fly home and plan a trip up to Canada.
In my DR, the end of Hermitcraft S10 is November 15th as we are planning to take a break right before Thanksgiving and return in mid-January 2026. We had been talking about this since April and it seemed like a good time. We did decide on three new members for Hermitcraft S11 which I’m super excited about working with (again!) Jimmy (Solidarity Gaming), Scott Smajor, and Jojosolos will be there next season!! (If they are also the new members of S11 in my CR I will be convinced that I am a prophet). Personally, I was really campaigning for Shelby (Shubble) and Aimsey but not everyone knew them as well.
Past Life is done!! I was waiting for it to be done in my CR so it would be the same in both realities but it decided to be different regardless. I was in the final five and my season was ended by Martyn knocking me off the Square Hole. So fifth place!! Martyn didn’t clutch the bucket clutch and placed fourth. Jimmy killed Grian, and in revenge for everything Gem slayed him and won!! It was a super epic end to the season and I didn’t expect it because it was different than the ending I watched.
After editing my Past Life session 8 episode on Tuesday, that night I got on a 15 hour flight from LA to Melbourne to go visit Pearl!! Yippee to seeing Pearl, boo for the 15 hours spent on a plane. We planned this trip forever ago and it somehow lined up with her moving so a lot of time was just hanging out and occasionally packing things or driving to her new house. We streamed Peak together (which was really fun cause she’s actually good at it unlike me) which we could definitely do in our separate homes but it’s not as fun. I don’t talk to Karn much so it was good to see him too :)
We went back into Melbourne for a day and checked out a couple cool bookstores because what is a trip without a bookstore haul at the end?? Which is really a big problem for me personally because if I buy a book in my DR but I want to read it when I’m in my CR then I just buy it again… I also do it vice versa but I definitely have a better paying job in my DR (I own my condo in LA… Which is definitely not super expensive.)
So Pearl and I got to hang out for a week before I flew back home (another long flight…) Which I then immediately started planning a trip to go visit Gem. Definitely not something I do a lot at all. So that’s definitely not another 10 hours on a plane. I need to be sponsored by compression socks at this rate. I’m super excited though!! Which means I will be fighting myself not to shift for a little bit because otherwise I am going to burn myself out.
