The gentle taps of oxfords coming down the hall was not an often occurrence when it came to the upstairs quarters of the Burlesque Lounge. Only once in a blue moon were there ever the occasional complaint, usually made by someone entirely out of their wits intoxicated. The only other time their head of staff, presumably whom it was coming for the office, ever came to the owners was to bother them on entirely obscure topics.
“What do you think it is this time?” Adeline groaned, calling for her brother across from her at the matching twin desk- though admittedly, his was cleaner.
“I’m not sure.”
Three knocks were rasped against the door before their head of staff entered, trailed by a young man.
“Sir, ma’am, this young man has come inquiring after a job.”
“No.”
“Addy!” Osbourne reprimanded, shifting upright in his desk chair. “What kind of job are you looking for, my friend?”
