STREKKA strekka is best at running around like a little raccoon and grabbing shit. she’s keeping it all for herself and she’s not sharing. i don’t post about strekka like ever but i love her and she’s a gremlin, shadowstepping to other people to steal their treasure is a valid tactic okay

8. Is any of them being recognized? What is the general reaction to them?

Raitik, as the commander, bears the burden of being recognized by literally everyone. People respect her, but she finds that some are a little too thankful, and she herself doesn’t enjoy it, as she’s never particularly loved having attention on her. She just wants to get drunk and race skimmers, yall, leave her alone.

Strekka had a fairly boring childhood. Cycling through foster homes as a ward of the Progeny Protective System, she eventually settled on her own in college, and a few years later flunked out of Statics. Not one to give up on a happy life just because of some lousy grades, she took up gunsmithing with a former classmate- Now partner, in both the romantic and business sense. Eventually they got married, and shortly had a progeny together. In an workspace accident, their progeny was fatally wounded by a malfunctioning firearm, and the grief tore the relationship apart, Strekka’s husband taking everything, and leaving her behind.

Not one to give up on a happy life just because of an ex-husband and a dead child, Strekka became an Order of Whispers agent for the foreseeable future, immersing herself fully in her work and missions, dedicating herself similarly when the Order merged into the Pact, becoming a full-time sniper. Her squad was one of the lucky ones to make it through Orr without losing anyone to the Risen. Unfortunately, they wouldn’t be afforded the same luck in Maguuma, most of them perishing when their airship was struck by vines, crashing. Strekka survived, but was nearly mortally wounded, losing both her arms, and gaining extensive scarring on her body.

Not one to give up on a happy life just because of a traumatizing accident, Strekka was shipped home as soon as possible to a newly remodeled Lion’s Arch. She continues to live there, in a small apartment that she brings as much coziness to as she can. Provided with up-to-date prosthetics by her now-partner, Khejjid, she returned to gunsmithing, and provides firearms and motherly energy to those who earn her affections while she’s out boozing.
