Update on the fireworks.

Apparently, my town as a reputation for having beautiful fireworks on the 14th of July. It was my first time seeing it last night, and I have to admit it was 25 minutes of beauty. My building is higher than most of the town, so from my storey landing I have an amazing view of the town, and what is called ‘The Rock’. They shoot the fireworks from there. We were a good dozen on my floor watching the fireworks, and I could hear/see people on other rooftops nearby. But last night scared me a bit. Two distinct fires started during the fireworks. They were put down less than 10 minutes, but being able to see the flames from this distance frightened my a bit. Keep in mind that there are daily fires in my region, and we are still at a high level of risk. Last week, there was one on the hill next to my building. Last month, a fire started down the hill where my parents live. 

But otherwise, yes, the fireworks were beautiful. (You can see them on my instagram story.)
