Fabric 101:
Just back from a 10-day roadshow including events in San Francisco, Boston, New York, and Philadelphia, and we’re so excited and encouraged by the incredible response. We absolutely loved meeting everyone and received so much invaluable feedback. Our heads are still spinning trying to digest it all! What was the one standout takeaway? Our FABRIC! Many were blown away by the quality of our fabric and came to appreciate the unique differences between our Ponte Knit and Stretch Crepe suiting materials. While nothing is as good as touching & feeling the fabrics yourself, we thought we’d share some customer anecdotes from the last few weeks that hopefully lend some insight:
- Both fabrics are "incredibly forgiving". The texturing in the Stretch Crepe "hides a lot", and the Ponte Knit "sucks you in" without being too tight. The lining also adds coverage without being too heavy.
- "The Ponte is so soft and comfortable, but it's also structured enough for a blazer." "Great range of motion," which is essential for typing all day or traveling to a meeting.
- The Crepe feels more formal and "is really unique to most suiting." "Love the texture!"
- From a customer who had already purchased a Ponte Knit dress online: “After a 16 hour day that included a morning presentation and a flight, straight into client drinks, [the dress] looked flawless. Resisted wrinkles and never showed my sweat!"
- Our crowning achievement? We erased a lot of preconceived notions that pencil skirts were only for 5’11, Size 0 models!
