I cannot help but to think that the filmmakers are making fun of these extras. This documentary is about the life and work of the people who appear as extras in films. And, maybe its because in order to make a career as being an extra, it takes a certain personality to be an extra. But, the filmmakers seem to have an in joke by choosing some of the weirdest and most unconventional people in the profession. It felt like exploitation of these hard working people who never know when the next job is near. It is sad instead of comedic which is what the tone of the film was going for. Its hard to like it knowing how the filmmakers feel about their subjects.
